Dough Sorter is operated by Paul Adams trading as Dough Sorter (ABN 72 206 243 757), based in Queensland, Australia ("Dough Sorter", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use doughsorter.app and app.doughsorter.app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address and password when you sign up, and your marketing preference.
Business details: information you add so it can appear on your invoices, such as your business name, logo, headshot, tax or business number (ABN, EIN or VAT), address, phone, payment and bank details, tax settings and financial year.
Invoices and clients: the invoices you create and the client details you enter, such as names, companies, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses and notes.
Expenses, receipts and mileage: expense records, receipt photos and PDFs you upload, the details read from them, your categories, mileage trips and saved destinations, and any gigs you group records under.
Billing details: your plan and payment history. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, and we don't store your full card details.
Usage and device information: such as browser type, pages visited and log data, collected through cookies and similar tools.
Messages: anything you send us through Help & Feedback or by email.

How we use it

To run Dough Sorter, including emailing your invoices and follow-up reminders to your clients on your behalf, and sending you the receipt nudges you set up.
To read receipts you upload, so the supplier, date, total and tax can be filled in for you.
To send account, security and billing emails, and occasional product updates and tips about Dough Sorter.
To provide support, fix problems, improve the service and keep it secure.
To meet our legal obligations.

We only send you marketing from GIGSorter if you choose to receive it, either at sign-up or later in your account settings. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Your clients' information

When you add a client, you're responsible for having their permission to store their details and to email them invoices and reminders. We use client information only to provide the service to you. We never market to your clients or sell their information. Emails sent to your clients include a small "Sent with Dough Sorter" line. Invoice PDFs carry only your own branding.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run Dough Sorter:

Service providers who help us host the app, store files, send email, process payments, run our CRM and read receipts using AI. Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States.
GIGSorter, which is run by the same team. Your account details are held in our shared CRM so we can manage your subscription and support.
Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. If your free trial ends or you cancel, your account becomes read-only and your records stay in it. If you delete your account, we delete its data, except anything we're required to keep by law, such as billing records.

Your choices

View and update most of your information in the app at any time.
Export your invoices, clients and expenses as CSV files from their pages in the app.
Delete your account from My Business in the app.
Ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by emailing [email protected].
Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, such as list or card view, and understand how the site is used. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the app may not work without them.

Security

We use encrypted connections, private storage for uploaded receipts and other reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it to yourself.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
